The Power of Relationship
One of the most powerful and rewarding ways we can help our students flourish is to provide the safety of a trusting, healthy relationship.
We tend to place a lot of unnecessary pressure on ourselves to create enduring relationships. Only when we are honest with ourselves, can we give our students permission to be true to themselves – and we can form REAL relationships together.
I am a TRUE believer in building relationships.
Your first step to building a relationship with your students, ALL your students, is to think of yourself as being “safe enough” and “healthy enough” for your students. Because for the most part, that is all kids really need.
