OPA is a school that excels at in-person instruction and engagement. This is why in-person class attendance is so important.
Chronic Absenteeism is defined as missing 10 percent or more of school days due to absence for any reason—excused, unexcused absences and suspensions. This can translate into students having difficulty learning, achieving in middle school, and graduating from high school.

We will be doing a classroom attendance challenge for the month of January. The Math Class with the best overall attendance will receive class doughnuts, choose the Spirit Day theme for their grade level and a visit from Elmer the Eagle.
By working together, all of us — schools, families and students — can ensure all children can get to school every day so they have an opportunity to learn, flourish and realize their dreams.
