- Why: To show your OPA Spirit!
We are almost there! The school year is just about half over! Please stay focused on learning Math and Science and doing your best. Make everyday count! As we approach the Winter Break, please accept my best wishes for a joyful and relaxing holiday with your family. And a special thank you to all the wonderful parents. Students will continue working on there “Fractional Me” Project in class this week to practice the following concepts and skills:
- Write fractions in words
- Use pictures to represent the numerator and denominator
- Compare fractions
- Find equivalent fractions
- Simplify fractions
- Add and Subtract fractions
This week, students will investigate the effects of magnets on the needle of a compass, and compare this to the effects of Earth’s magnetic field on the needle of a compass. Below is this week’s vocabulary words on Magnetism LINC#3
