SOCKTOBER: Final numbers are in! OPA collected 1281 pairs of socks for the Lantern House to provide to families in need. Thank you to all of you that supported this OPA Annual Drive. Thank you to our 2nd Graders that promote and collect all month and their teachers who orchestrate the activity!
PENNIES FOR PATIENTS: At this time, more than $1000 dollars has been donated to fight Leukemia and Lymphoma. Thank you for the Eagle Team, all donating students and teachers in this fundraising effort. The Eagle Council will be collecting change in the foyer on Tuesday, November 27 – known as Giving Day.
OPA Thanksgiving Dinner: Thank you to all of the OPA Kitchen Staff, Teachers, Parents, Staff and Students that supported the Annual OPA Thanksgiving Dinner. Parents I appreciate your patience and willingness to spend the day in a dinner of 1000 people. That is real courage!
Remember that next week is a holiday for OPA and there is NO School the entire week. We encourage everyone to unplug, relax, and gather how they choose. Teacher and staff response to email and communications is not expected during their holiday time. They need this break and your kids get time with you. A colleague of mine sent me a great holiday parenting guide to remind me that holidays are suppose to be Happy! I would like to share it with you; Happy Holiday Parenting.
Have a great break and a great holiday week, we will see you again November 26th.Recommended1 recommendationPublished in
