About OPA
Ogden Preparatory Academy is the first charter school based in Ogden, Utah. It was built with the idea that children should have an affordable quality education in a safe and nurturing environment. OPA offers public charter school education with private school quality.
Our goal is to ensure quality academic growth for each PreK-9th student and inspire a lifelong love of learning, service, and leadership.

Summer GEAR Up Camps

Level Up Camp is coming to Ogden Preparatory Academy on June 11th from 9AM – 3PM.  Students will build leadership skills, work together to overcome challenges, and learn skills that will help them in the future.  This event is open to current 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students only. Free event for GEAR UP students. Meals and activities provided. 7th Grade Transition Event – 8/4/26

This event is open to all incoming 7th grade students. It is intended to prepare them for a successful 1st year of junior high. The event will be held at the junior high from August 4th from 8am-1pm, Students will be able to participate in workshops that teach them how to navigate their 1st year as well as getting to know some of their teachers, learning how a multi-class schedule works, and much more!
