Enrollment Dates & Information

The Ogden Preparatory Academy Enrollment process occurs throughout each year with important start dates and critical deadlines. These requirements are necessary to ensure a fair and efficient enrollment process. There are three different time frames that are important for prospective and returning families to keep in mind when applying, registering, and/or re-enrolling at OPA: Open Enrollment, Registration Dates, Re-Enrollment Dates. Open Enrollment

New student lottery applications accepted starting January 1st. The first lottery pull is February 1st and continues as seats become available.

New Student Registration

Once an applicant is selected for enrollment with the OPA Lottery System, they have 10 days to accept and register their student. OPA uses Aspire for registration and management of student data. Click here to register your student.

Student records must be delivered to a School Secretary

Current Student Re-Enrollment

Click here to re-enroll for the upcoming year. Re-Enrollment occurs every year and must be completed prior to January 31 to retain a seat with the school. Existing students' families will receive information each year regarding the window for re-enrollment. Re-enrollment opens December 9th

Procedure for Transfer

Transfers can happen at any time before or during the school year. School officials appreciate as much notice as possible; however, transfers can be processed same day.

Contact the current school and notify of intent to transfer.
Enroll in receiving school.
The receiving school will send a records request to the current school.
Parent/guardian will sign a transfer form with the current and receiving form.

The OPA transfer form is student specific. Any parent or guardian choosing to transfer their student from OPA, should contact a school secretary to initiate the process.

Half Day Kindergarten Option

Ogden Preparatory Academy provides a full-day Kindergarten experience for students who are five years old prior to September 1 of the school year. Full-day Kindergarten follows the same calendar and time schedule as all other OPA Elementary students. Full-day Kindergarten offers a full Kindergarten curriculum.

Families have the option of choosing a half-day Kindergarten option. Half-day Kindergarten is from 8:05 am to 11:00 am daily. Half-day Kindergarten offers the minimum Kindergarten core requirements.

Upon acceptance for OPA Kindergarten, the family will receive a form to select their scheduling choice.

OPA encourages any interested families to apply for the lottery and begin the enrollment process as soon as possible, even if the available seats are shown as "Zero" for the grade level(s) you desire. Seats frequently open up during the year and the lottery is pulled as needed. Applying now will ensure your children's name is in the lottery the next time it is pulled.
