Meet Our Administration

Debbie Deem

ddeem@ogdenprep.org

Debbie Deem has been deeply involved with OPA since its inception in 2003, first as a parent and a member of the OPA Board of Directors. She was hired as a Mathematics teacher at the OPA Junior High in 2005. Over time, Mrs. Deem has taken on various roles, and she currently serves as the Executive Director, overseeing the business operations of OPA.

Kasey Kennington
Kasey KenningtonElementary Principal
Mr. Kennington has been at OPA for fourteen years. Before becoming an administrator he taught PE and Spanish at the Junior High School. He also coached basketball, soccer, and cross country.
Angela McPhee
Angela McPheeElementary Principal
Hello! I’m Angela McPhee and I have had the privilege of being part of the Ogden Preparatory Academy family since it first opened its doors back in 2003! I’ve taught fourth grade for one year, third grade for twelve years, and second grade for four years. This will be my second year as a school leader and I look forward to being a Principal alongside Mr. Kennington.
Shevon Lopez

After nine years of teaching at OPA, I moved on to become a teaching specialist at a nearby district and spent three years as an assistant principal within that district. In 2021, I made the decision to return to OPA as an administrator, and I’ve been so pleased with that decision.

Teryl Young
Teryl YoungEarly Childhood Center Director
My name is Teryl Young, and I have been a part of the OPA family for the last 19 years. I began my career in 2006 as a special education TA. I have held many roles at OPA, from TA to Special Education Teacher, Special Education Director, Dean of Students, Vice Principal, and my current role as the ECC Director.
Aimee Melton

My name is Aimee Melton. I have worked at OPA since 2020. I came to OPA as a 5th-grade teacher and moved to Special Education the following year. I am currently serving as the Special Education Director.
Stephanie Wright
Stephanie WrightTeaching and Learning Director
My name is Stephanie Wright, and I am the Director of Teaching and Learning. This is my 8th year at OPA, where I dedicate much of my time to working with assessment, curriculum, and Title III. Other things that I get to do include working with our teacher mentors, and helping teachers with licensure.
Ariana Romero
Ariana RomeroDean of Students & AVID Excel Teacher
My name is Ariana Romero, and I have the privilege of serving as the Dean of Students at Ogden Preparatory Academy Junior High. I joined OPA as a 7th grade College and Career Awareness teacher. Over time, my role expanded to include teaching in the AVID department as an AVID Excel instructor. Today, I’m proud to serve as both the Dean of Students and an AVID Excel teacher.
