Debbie Deem has been deeply involved with OPA since its inception in 2003, first as a parent and a member of the OPA Board of Directors. She was hired as a Mathematics teacher at the OPA Junior High in 2005. Over time, Mrs. Deem has taken on various roles, and she currently serves as the Executive Director, overseeing the business operations of OPA.
Hello! I’m Angela McPhee and I have had the privilege of being part of the Ogden Preparatory Academy family since it first opened its doors back in 2003! I’ve taught fourth grade for one year, third grade for twelve years, and second grade for four years. This will be my second year as a school leader and I look forward to being a Principal alongside Mr. Kennington.
After nine years of teaching at OPA, I moved on to become a teaching specialist at a nearby district and spent three years as an assistant principal within that district. In 2021, I made the decision to return to OPA as an administrator, and I’ve been so pleased with that decision.

My name is Teryl Young, and I have been a part of the OPA family for the last 19 years. I began my career in 2006 as a special education TA. I have held many roles at OPA, from TA to Special Education Teacher, Special Education Director, Dean of Students, Vice Principal, and my current role as the ECC Director.
My name is Stephanie Wright, and I am the Director of Teaching and Learning. This is my 8th year at OPA, where I dedicate much of my time to working with assessment, curriculum, and Title III. Other things that I get to do include working with our teacher mentors, and helping teachers with licensure.
My name is Ariana Romero, and I have the privilege of serving as the Dean of Students at Ogden Preparatory Academy Junior High. I joined OPA as a 7th grade College and Career Awareness teacher. Over time, my role expanded to include teaching in the AVID department as an AVID Excel instructor. Today, I’m proud to serve as both the Dean of Students and an AVID Excel teacher.
