SAGE or Student Assessment for Growth and Excellence is Utah’s new computer adaptive assessment system.   It is designed to measure the breadth and depth of the Utah Core standards using summative, interim, and formative testing.

Summative:  This online adaptive assessment will replace the CRT’s and will be given in the spring.  Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science will be assessed in grades 3-12.

Interim:  This optional assessment will be assigned in the fall and midyear to evaluate student learning.

Formative: This optional assessment will present items that match the interim and summative assessment.  This will include lesson plans, instructional resources and formative assessments.
